Christian Eric graduated from University of California – San Diego with a degree in Biomedical Sciences, going onto gain valuable experience within a Public Health Laboratory. Following this Erika went on to specialise within the area of Medical Microbiology encompassing infectious diseases testing. Erika is currently undertaking a Masters Degree in Healthcare Management, and is keen to implement change, feeling passionate about improving the services available for single, gay, lesbian and infertile couples to achieve parenthood.
Karen Kelly
Karen Kelly graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a degree in Biomedical Sciences, gaining experience within the pharmaceutical quality control industry before deciding to specialise in Medical Microbiology, where she has gained over 18 years experience within infectious disease screening. Karen has also trained in the area of website design and has project managed and set up the directorates laboratory sciences website giving information to healthcare professionals and members of the public. Karen has personal experience of conceiving using donor insemination with a known donor and understands the difficulties and dilemmas involved. She is also a trained foster carer and fostered for over seven years.
